June 30 7 Gannet and 1 Peregrine - Gronant, Little Terns a bit battered by the bad weather but not doing too badly, see update in next newsletter.

June 29 6 Gannet - Red Rocks at high tide this morning, and another 2 Gannet, 2 Manx Shearwater and 1 Great Crested Grebe this evening.
Plenty of waders back at Heswall including 1,280 Curlew and several hundred Redshank.
1 Icterine Warbler reported in Wepre Woods, singing by Rosie Pond this afternoon.
June 28 21 Gannet, 14 Manx Shearwater and over 100 Common Tern seen off Red Rocks at high tide.
June 27 54 Gannet, 8 Common Scoter and about 40 Common Tern and 25 Sandwich Tern seen off Red Rocks at high tide.
About 50 Manx Shearwater off Hilbre Island this evening.
Passage of Swifts moving south this morning over West Kirby and Hilbre Island, flocks of about 30.
1 Greenshank and 4 Spotted Redshank - Inner Marsh Farm.
June 26 About 30 Common Terns off Red Rocks this afternoon.

June 21 Two Grey Partridge Broods - Hoylake Langfields.
June 19 1 Ruddy Shelduck (m. eclipse)- Point of Ayr.
June 18 3 Ruddy Shelduck - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Whimbrel with lots of Curlew, Oystercatcher and Shelduck at high tide - Point of Ayr, also 1 Sandwich Tern and 1 Wheatear (fem.).
June 17 1 Hobby, 32 Sanderling, 186 Cormorant, 1 Fulmar and 1 Manx shearwater - Gronant, Little Terns doing well but some nests probably lost today due to sandblow, at least force 6 today!
3 Ruddy Shelduck and 300 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
June 16 3 Gannet, 2 Red-breasted Merganser and about 30 Common Tern off  Red Rocks as tide came in.
3 Ruddy Shelduck, 40 Shelduck, 1 Common Buzzard and 200 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 American Wigeon (drake) - Connah's Quay (downriver from dock).
88 Sanderling, 1 Eider (fem.) and 3 Sandwich Tern - Gronant.
June 13 1 Ruddy Shelduck and 1 Little Egret - Inner Marsh Farm.
June 12 3 Manx Shearwater, 5 Kittiwake and 11 Gannet off Hilbre Island.
June 11 1 Common Buzzard over Thurstaston Hill.
June 9 5 Common Scoter, 33 Sanderling (still on their way north?), 239 Cormorant, 25 Gannet and a probable Carrion/Hooded Crow hybrid, thought to be same bird as seen on Meols Shore a few days ago - Gronant, Little Terns doing well, very little predation at the colony as yet.

June 7 1 Golden Oriole - Point of Ayr, briefly at about 1pm.
24 Ringed Plover (tundra race) - Gronant.
June 6 1 Common Buzzard over Gronant, several hundred Gulls roosting at high tide, Little Terns doing well, also 60 Sanderling.
2,000 Gulls (immature) and a flock of about 500 over-summering Oystercatcher at Point of Ayr at high tide, 1 Common Buzzard high overhead.
June 5 3 Ruddy Shelduck - Inner Marsh Farm.
June 4 6 Gannet off Red Rocks as tide came in, feeding way out.
June 3 1 Merlin over Leasowe, an unusual record for June.

May 18 1 Marsh Harrier, 16 Sedge Warbler and 6 Reed Warbler - Neston Reed Bed, Bearded Tits somewhat elusive, 1 Cuckoo in tree behind the bed.
2 Stonechat (pair) - Leasowe Gunsite.

May 17 1 Honey Buzzard east over Hoylake, report confirmed.
May 16 2 Whimbrel and 1 Lesser Whitethroat with loads of Whitethroat and Chiffchaff - Wirral Way/  Dawpool Nature Reserve, Thurstaston, this morning.
2 Wheatear and 1 Whinchat (fem.) - Middle Hilbre, and 4 Whimbrel, 2 Gannet, 1 Arctic Skua and lots of terns including 4 Arctic Tern off Hilbre as tide came in this morning.

May 13 1 Wheatear on cliffs at Thurstaston Shore.
