BEARDED TITS NESTING AT NESTON REED BED,
RSPB DEE ESTUARY RESERVE

A pair of bearded tits are feeding young in Neston reedbed. The birds can be elusive but are best visible from the raised path over looking the reedbed. Bearded tits are a schedule 1 breeding bird and it is illegal to disturb them near the nest. Please do not go onto the marsh to look for them. If you see any body acting suspiciously, please contact the RSPB wardens and police.

In recent weeks local youths have been setting fire to parts of the reedbed. If you see a fire please phone 999 for the fire brigade.
