May 28 1 Red-backed Shrike - West Kirby, on fence near Pinfold steps (i.e. between West Kirby and Red Rocks), also 1 Greenland Wheatear.
'Loads' of Gadwall and 1 Spotted Flycatcher - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 27 1 Bearded Tit - Neston reed bed.
1 Hobby over Harp Inn, Neston.
75 Common Scoter, 36 Sandwich Tern, 50 Sanderling, 230 Cormorant and 5 Gannet - Gronant.
May 26 No sign of White-throated Sparrow at Caldy.

May 24 White-throated Sparrow, possible sighting 0800hrs but nothing since. Access now closed at 1530hrs.

May 23 1 White-throated Sparrow - King's Drive North, Caldy (near Stapledon Woods), off Column Road (A540) near Caldy Grammar School. Showing and singing well this afternoon.
600 Black-tailed Godwit and 1 Little Egret - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 22 *MEGA* White-throated Sparrow - King's Drive North, Caldy (near Stapledon Woods), off Column Road (A540) near Caldy Grammar School. Still showing 1800hrs on my front lawn!!!!

May 18 11 Wheatear, 1 Shoveler (male), 3 Yellow Wagtail, 9 Grey Partridge and 1 Snow Goose - Hoylake Langfields, the last one a bit unexpected, I think we can assume it is an escape!
13 Manx Shearwater - Hilbre Island, first of the year.
16 Manx shearwater, 3 Gannet, 5 Kittiwake and 3 Whimbrel - Point of Ayr.

Seen on 3rd May, just been reported: 1 Wood Warbler, 2 Whinchat, 20+ Whitethroat, 15+ Blackcap, 2 Tree Pipit, 1 Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannet and 200+ Sandwich Tern - Point of Ayr.
May 4 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Redstart (male), 20 Willow Warbler, 6 Tree Pipit, 4 Yellow Wagtail and 4 Whimbrel - Hilbre Island.
1 Lesser Whitethroat showing well on the cliff top at Thurstaston.
1 Cuckoo - first of spring - on Thurstaston Hill.
2 Avocet reported at Inner Marsh Farm, this morning only.
May 3 1 Great Skua, 2 Redstart, 3 Peregrine, 38 Gannet, 270 Common Tern, 90 Sandwich Tern and 5 Whimbrel - Hilbre Island, before high tide this morning.
3,000+ Herring Gull, 30+ Lesser Black-backed Gull and 200 Great Black-backed Gull - West Hoyle Bank, off Hilbre Island, a huge assembly of immature gulls at low tide.

May 2 2 Whinchat, 10 Willow Warbler, 6 Swift and 5 Whimbrel - Hilbre Island,
