June 30 3 Yellowhammer (1 juv.) and 2 Green Woodpecker -  Thurstaston by Wirral Way.
7 Whitethroat, 3 Reed Warbler and 2 Sedge Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.
June 29 3 Spotted Redshank, 900+ Knot and 125 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Barn Owl in field next to Royden Park.
June 28 25 Sandwich Tern, 4 Gannet and 9 Common Scoter - Gronant.
June 27 1 Green-winged Teal (drake) reported, also 5 Spotted Redshank and 400 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
June 26 3 Common Sandpiper on bank of River Dee by Shotton, about 540 pairs of Common Terns breeding at the Steelworks.
2 Grasshopper Warbler heard reeling - Parkgate Old Baths.
4 Common Buzzard riding the thermals at Red Rocks, 2 Stonechat in the sand dunes.
June 25 4 Sandwich Tern with the Black-headed Gull high tide roost - West Kirby Shore, plenty more terns and a couple of Gannets off Red Rocks.
600 Herring Gull - Hoylake Shore.
Good numbers off warblers around Leasowe Lighthouse.
June 24 1 Little Egret, 490 Curlew and 730 Shelduck as tide came in, no sign of returning Redshank yet - Heswall Shore.
June 23 1 Mediterranean Gull, 2 Spotted Redshank, 2 Common Buzzard and 1 Peregrine Inner Marsh Farm.
June 22 1 Barn Owl, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Grasshopper Warbler - Thurstaston, Wirral Country Park.
130-140 Little Tern, 12 Sandwich Tern, 14 Gannet and 1 Wheatear - Gronant.
2 Mediterranean Gull and 1 Spotted Redshank  -  Inner Marsh Farm.
June 21 2 Peregrine -  Burton Marsh.
June 20 3 Stonechat (pair and 1 juv.) - Red Rocks.
2 Little Egret and 4 Spotted Redshank, lots of Black-tailed Godwit and Knot -  Inner Marsh Farm.
June 19 75 Common Tern off Red Rocks this evening.
June 18 1 Yellowhammer, 2 Grey Partridge, 1 Red-legged Partridge, 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Barn Owl early morning at  Thurstaston, Wirral Country Park.
June 17 2 Little Egret, 300 Black-tailed Godwit and 1,100 Knot -  Inner Marsh Farm.
June 15 1 Mediterranean Gull (adult) -  West Kirby Marine Lake.
June 14 1 Little Egret -  Burton Marsh.
June 13 1 Mediterranean Gull (2nd summer) and 1 Little Ringed Plover -  Inner Marsh Farm.
June 10 1 Osprey over  Stanley Road - Hoylake and Red Rocks.
1 Little Egret over West Kirby.
1 Short-eared Owl and 1 Barn Owl - Thustaston.
June 8 1 Mediterranean Gull (2nd summer) and 900 Knot -  Inner Marsh Farm.
June 7 1 Black Stork - over Burton, thought to drift towards parkgate, late afternoon. 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Osprey fishing offshore, early evening -  Leasowe lighthouse.
1 Osprey also over  Hilbre earlier in the day, presumably the same bird, also 3 Wheatear and 15 Gannet.
June 5 4 Common Scoter and 1 Storm Petrel - Red Rocks.  
June 1 2 Avocet, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 500 Black-tailed Godwit and 1,000 Knot -  Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Hobby took a Swift over West Kirby.
May 26 26 Gannet, 100 Common Tern and 400 Dunlin at high tide, 1 Peregrine and 1 Merlin (f.) earlier - Red Rocks.

May 25 5 Great Crested Grebe, 60 Ringed Plover, 1 Greenland Wheatear, 60 Common Tern and 28 Gannet - Hilbre Island.
2 Whimbrel and 1 Greenland Wheatear - Heswall Shore.
3 Spotted Flycatcher and 2 Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse.
May 24 1 Cuckoo, 2 Stonechat, 1 Spotted Flycatcher and 1 Yellow Wagtail early morning, 43 Gannet, 300 Common Tern, 1,000 Dunlin, 4 Grey Heron and 3 Red-breasted Merganser at high tide - Red Rocks.
1 Marsh Harrier - Connah's Quay Reserve.
May 23 57 Gannet, 250 Common Tern and 50 Sandwich Tern - Red Rocks at high tide.
950 Dunlin and 50 Ringed Plover - Hoylake Shore.
c100 Swallow, c30 House Martin, 3 Whimbrel, 20 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 206 Shelduck - Heswall Shore.
1 Cuckoo - Thurstaston Visitor Centre.
May 22 1 Spotted Flycatcher near Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Cuckoo - Leasowe Gunsite.
2 Yellow Wagtail (pair) and 1 Common Sandpiper - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Peregrine, 30 Sanderling, 200 Dunlin and 75 Ringed Plover - Hoylake Shore.
May 21 50 Gannet, 40 Common Tern and 20 Sandwich Tern - Red Rocks at high tide.
The above also seen from Hilbre Island, plus a Black Guillemot (s/pl).
1 Cuckoo - Caldy Hill.
1 Redstart in Hoylake sea front garden.
May 20 12 Gannet, 1 Fulmar, c10 Sandwich Tern and several small flocks of Dunlin - Red Rocks at high tide.
1 Kingfisher - Arrowe Park.
1,200 Black-tailed Godwit, 130 Knot (only 1 in full summer plumage), 1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Little Gull (imm.) and 1 Hobby - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 19 1 Osprey, caught a fish and landed on sand bank - Hilbre Island.

May 11 Not a bird but there was a very unusual sighting of an Otter off Dove Point, Meols, this morning - good views from 45 yards.

May 10 2 Avocet - Thurstaston Shore, moving towards West Kirby as tide came in.
Report of a pair of Baikal Teal in garden, Boundary Road, West Kirby (probable escape from wildfowl collection).
May 9 43 species seen on an early morning walk along Wirral Way by Thurstaston - highlights included 1 Marsh Harrier, 3 Yellowhammer and 1 Grasshopper Warbler.

1 Common Sandpiper - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
1 Hen Harrier (fem.) and 1 Short-eared Owl - Neston Reedbed.
1 Little Stint - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 8 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 12 Common Whitethroat, 10 Chiffchaff, 8 Blackcap, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 6 Whimbrel seen during 'In search of birds' walk - Dawpool, Wirral Way, Thurstaston Visitor Centre.
2 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Spotted Redshank (s.pl), 10 Knot  and 600+ Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 7 Plenty of Gannets and a few Manx Shearwaters off Hoylake Shore.
1 Puffin plus Gannets etc. - Hilbre Island.

May 6 1 Garganey (drake), 2 Spotted Redshank (s.pl), 8 Knot (2 in s.pl) and 400 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.
May 4 1 Wryneck at Inner Marsh Farm, seen several times this morning, also 1 Knot (sum. plumage), 6 Spotted Redshank and 1,200 Black-tailed Godwit. Wryneck not seen since 1300hrs. See on Birding North West website.

May 2 2 Lesser Whitethroat - Heswall, by Wirral Way.
1 Short-eared Owl, 2 Whinchat, 1 Tree Pipit, 11 Greenland Wheatear and 3 Little Egret - Gayton end of Cottage Lane.
6 Wheatear and 1 Grasshopper Warbler this morning, 2 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 6 Willow Warbler, 6+ Sedge Warbler and 2 Reed Warbler this evening  - Red Rocks.
1 Avocet, 1 Garganey (drake) and 1 Hen Harrier - Decca Pools, Burton.
Probable Quail flushed from Heswall Fields.
7 Whimbrel, 1 Peregrine, 4 Wheatear and 2 Gannet  - Hilbre Island.
1 Wood Sandpiper and 3 Garganey (2 drake) - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Hen Harrier (ring-tail), 1 Short-eared Owl and 3 Grasshopper Warbler - Neston Reed Bed.
May 1 3 Redstart, 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 40-50 Willow Warbler, 12 Tree Pipit, 3 Yellow Wagtail and 1 Whinchat  - Hilbre Island, provided by Hilbre Bird Observatory.
4 Bullfinch (2 pair), 12 Wheatear, 5 Stonechat, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Wood Warbler, 10 Whimbrel, 1 Cuckoo *first of spring* and 1 Tree Pipit, loads of Swallows, House Martins and Swifts passing through - early morning at Point of Ayr/Talacre sand dunes.
30 Little Tern, 100 Sandwich Tern, 15+ Greenland Wheatear, 10+ White Wagtail, 5+ Sedge Warbler and 1 Common Sandpiper - Gronant.
