2 Water Rail calling in marsh - Red Rocks.
12,000 Knot, 7,500 Dunlin, 260 Grey Plover, 760 Sanderling, 200+ Curlew and 300 Brent Geese on rising tide - Little Eye / West Kirby Shore.
1 grey male Hen Harrier (3cy) and 15 Marsh Harrrier at roost, also 2 Raven, 3 Peregrine, 2 Merlin and 12 Great Egret - Old Baths, Parkgate.
500 Skylark - Heswall Marsh.

4,855 Pink-footed Geese roosted overnight then flew inland at first light - Heswall Marsh.
85 Brent Geese, 2000 Pintail, 7 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Great Egret, 3 Marsh Harrier, 1 grey male Hen Harrier, 5 Marsh Harrier, 1 Merlin, 670 Curlew, 300 Skylark, 200 Linnet over high tide - Riverbank Road, Heswall.

21 Twite on marsh by Flint Castle.
1 Water Pipit on marsh by Harp Inn - Neston.

2 grey male Hen Harrier and estimated at least 10 and possibly 20+ Marsh Harrier coming into roost, 1 Bittern over heading north - Old Baths, Parkgate.
1 Short-eared Owl - Neston Marsh.

33+ Goosander, 1 drake Goldeneye, 4 Red-breasted Merganser and 5 Brent Geese - West Kirby Marine Lake.
2 grey male Hen Harrier, 1 Bittern flew into roost, 1 Red Kite and at least 6 Marsh Harrier - Parkgate.

Dec 19
27 Goosander, 3 Goldeneye and 2 Red-breasted Merganser, 1 Rock Pipit flew in from Hilbre direction - West Kirby Marine Lake.
2 grey male Hen Harrier flew into roost on marsh - Heswall Golf Course.

1 Snow Bunting on sea defence by Derby Pool - Wallasey Shore.
3 Water Pipit by Neston Sewage Works/Marsh.

3 Goldeneye and 2 Red-breasted Merganser with Goosanders on West Kirby Marine Lake.
245 Great Crested Grebe on sea, 2 ad Mediterranean Gull, 120 Common Gull,  400 Black-headed Gull  and 1200 Herring Gull on shore,1 Great Egret, 84 Common Snipe, 6 Woodcock, 11 Water Rail, 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Greenshank on flooded fields, also 66 Robins in area - Leasowe Lightouse.

6 Long-tailed Duck and 7 Tufted duck off East Hoyle Bank.
1 Kingfisher showing well, 1 grey male Hen Harrier - Parkgate.
1 Jack Snipe - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
11 Woodcock flew out of roost this evening at Ditton Lane, Moreton.

87 Common Snipe and 3 Golden Plover in fields inland of the horse paddocks - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Velvet Scoter offshore this morning, also 200+ Great Crested Grebes and 4,000+ Common Scoter - Hoylake.
7 Eider (incl ad drake), 298 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 12 Purple Sandpiper, ad win Mediterranean Gull - Hilbre.
1 Snow Bunting moving between Leasowe Gunsite and Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Black Redstart at Lifeboat Station, 3 Velvet Scoter among thousands of Common Scoter on the sea at high tide - Hoylake.

1 Bittern flew to roost late afternoon - Parkgate.
1 Glossy Ibis flew south at dusk from flash - Denhall Quay.

1 Glossy Ibis which flew towards Burton - Denhall Quay.

1 Long-tailed Duck and 1 Merlin - Hoylake.
1 Little Stint, 1 Glossy Ibis flew in late afternoon - Burton Mere Wetlands.
2 Goosander (pair) on pond by Station - Meols.
200+ Grey Plover, 7,500 Knot, 5,000 Dunlin on shore on rising tide, 110 Linnet and 2 Stonechat in marsh/sand dunes - West Kirby.
c200 Cormorant on rising tide Little Eye.

1 Great Egret flew north over West Kirby Marine Lake then seen flying east along Hoylake Prom, also on WKML were 1 Guillemot, 17 Goosander, 2 Red-breated Merganser and 2 Goldeneye.

110 Pink-footed Geese, 288 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 1750 Shelduck, 1 feral Ruddy Shlduck, 2000 Pintail, 2300Wigeon, 3 Red-breasted Merganser, 1 Great Egret, 46 Little Egret, 4 Marsh Harrier, 1 Merlin, 250 Skylark over high tide - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
5 Marsh Harrier, 4 Great Egret, 40+ Shoveler and 200+ Teal - Parkgate.

2 Goldeneye (pair), 2 Red-breated Merganser and 23 Goosander (another record high) - West Kirby Marine Lake.
1 Bittern flew into to roost by Old Baths - Parkgate.
1 Eider (fem), 1 Red-throated Diver, 1 fem/juv Velvet Scoter and thousands of Common Scoter off East Hoyle Bank at low tide - Hoylake.
1 Glossy Ibis flew in late afternoon - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Siberian Chiffchaff and 1 Crossbill over flying east - Leasowe Lighthouse.

17,000+ Knot (15,000 roosting and 2,000+ flew towards West Kirby) - Heswall Shore.

650 Pintail, 900 Teal, 450 Lapwing, 120 Golden Plover, 5000 Knot, 180 Black-tailed Godwit over high tide - Heswall/Thurstaston.

2 Snow Bunting and 4+ Twite - Gronant.
430 Great Crested Grebe (mostly off Meols) and c2,000 Common Scoter (mostly off Hoylake) at high tide between Hoylake and Leasowe.
1 Glossy Ibis over this morning and flew east, also 3 Cattle Egret - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Firecrest trapped and ringed in private garden, fifth one this autumn at this site! - Bidston.
16 Purple Sandpiper - Hilbre.
1 Merlin, 10+ Marsh Harrier, 4 Great Egret, 2 Goosander which flew out of estuary, 1 Cetti's Warbler and 1 Water Rail (heard) late afternoon - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
6 Water Pipit in channels by sewage works - Neston Marsh.

Nov 11
1 Glossy Ibis late afternoon, also 5 Cattle Egret and 3 Green Woodpecker - Burton Mere Wetlands.
A small amount of visible migration included a flock of 20 Common Redpoll, and 7 Dark-bellied Brent Geese with Shelduck on Dawpool Bank this morning - Thurstaston.
170 Pale-bellied Brent Geese flew up river to roost off marsh - Riverbank Road, Heswall.

1 Glossy Ibis this morning before flying off towards Burton Marsh - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Arctic Tern on pontoon then seen flying over, and 1 juv Kittiwake - West Kirby Marine Lake.
5 Purple Sandpiper - New Brighton Marine Lake.
1 juv Shag on breakwater - Leasowe.
5 Cattle Egret - Burton Mere Wetlands.
15 Great Egret and 1 grey male Hen Harrier - Burton Marsh.

Nov 8
1 Glossy Ibis, 1 Red Kite, 1 Barn Owl, at least 1 Cattle Egret and several Marsh Harriers, Starling murmuration (c15,000) spectacular just before dusk coming to roost in reedbed - Burton Mere Wetlands.

1 late Sandwich Tern, 12 Gannet, 6 Guillemot, 3 Razorbill and 2 Red-throated diver - Hilbre.
3 Snow Bunting, 1 Lapland Bunting and 1 Jack Snipe between Point of Ayr and Gronant.
1 Siberian Chiffchaff still by path to duck pond next to Lingham Lane - Leasowe Lighthouse.
7 Dark-bellied Brent (2 ads and 5 juvs) - West Kirby Shore.
