1 Long-tailed Duck and 47 Little Grebe - Shotwick Boating Lake.

12+ Marsh Harrier, 2 Hen Harrier (grey male and ring-tail), 1 Peregrine, 1 Merlin, 1 Sparrowhawk, c6 Great Egret and 1200+ Lapwing this morning - Parkgate.
3 Hen Harrier (2 grey male and 1 ringtail) which dropped into reedbed off Heswall GC late afternoon, 3-4 Great Egret, 1 Peregrine, 1 Stonechat, 1 Cetti's Warbler heard calling and 1 Water Rail heard - Riverbank Road, Heswall.

594 Brent Geese (2 dark-bellied) between Little Eye and Hilbre at first light, 696 Cormorant flew out of the estuary and 6,500 Oystercatcher - Hilbre.

An undisturbed high tide wader roost included at least 12,500 Dunlin, also 1 Raven which attacked and killed a Curlew - Hoylake Shore.
2 Barn Owl. 1 Peregrine, 2 Merlin, 10+ Marsh Harrier, 3 Hen Harrier (2juv male and 1 ad male), 1 Jack Snipe flushed by a Marsh Harrier and 2 Brambling over - Parkgate.

810 Cormorant flew out of the estuary at first light, 388 Brent Geese (1 dark-bellied), 285 Shelduck, 15,500 Knot, 2,000 Dunlin, 360 Curlew, 45 Bar-tailed Godwit, 110 Turnstone, 1 Peregrine, 1 Short-eared Owl (this afternoon) and 1 Rock Pipit (Little Eye) - Hilbre.
5 Short-eared Owl (one had an ariel duel with a Marsh Harrier which lasted over 20 minutes!), 1 Barn Owl, 1 Merlin, 1 Stonechat, 1 Peregrine and 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), lots of Marsh Harrriers - Denhall Quay.
