148 Pink-footed Geese in long grass just beyond Donkey Stand Flash, 2 Little Grebe on the flash, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) which put up about 1,000 Teal and 1,000 Lapwing - Parkgate Marsh, also 1 Great White Egret and 1 Short-eared Owl.
140 Pink-footed Geese over, 1 Short-eared Owl - Denhall Quay.
500 Pink-footed Geese and 30 White-fronted Geese in fields south of Burton.
12 White-fronted Geese and 1 Merlin - Burton Mere Wetlands.

1 Rock Pipit on the breakwater and seawall - Wallasey Shore.
25 Purple Sandpiper, 100 Turnstone, 500 Redshank and 70 Dunlin on pontoon at high tide - New Brighton Marine Lake. 

December 30
6 Red-breasted Merganser -  West Kirby Marine Lake.
1 Greenshank on groyne, 1 Mediterranean Gull (ad) on beach - Leasowe Lighthouse.
9,000 Knot close in to the beach (3 colour ringed), 350 Pintail, 750 Dunlin and 5,000 Oystercatcher, 2 Peregrine attacked the Knot without success then called to each other before flying off - Thurstaston Shore.
137 Golden Plover, 180 Lapwing, 325 Teal, 1 Peregrine, 1 Chiffchaff (sewage works), 17 Long-tailed Tit - Heswall Shore/Target Road.
1 hybrid Ruddy Shelduck, 2 Merlin (pair), 3 Raven, 34 Twite and 26 Pied Wagtail - Oakenholt Marsh.
1 Great White Egret, 2 Hen Harrier and 1 Short-eared Owl - Parkgate Marsh.

1 Greenshank on groyne, 118 Curlew in the fields - Leasowe Lighthouse.
250 Sanderling, 200 Grey Plover, 4,000 Knot and 4,000 Dunlin - Hoylake Shore, counts approximate due to horrendous conditions at high tide!
4 White-fronted Geese - Burton Mere Wetlands (seen in field by Puddington Lane).
400 Teal and 45 Black-tailed Godwit on new flashes - Parkgate Marsh.
1 Mediterranean Gull (2nd winter) and 117 Black-tailed Godwit - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
1 Kittiwake (juv) close in off prom, 35 Sanderling on the beach - Wallasey Shore.
260+ Brent Geese (pale-bellied) - West Kirby Shore at high tide.

December 28
262 Brent Geese (pale-bellied) - West Kirby Shore at high tide, another record high, also 1 Common Scoter close in.
19 Purple Sandpiper, 370 Turnstone, 1,400 Redshank and 200 Dunlin on pontoon at high tide - New Brighton Marine Lake.

December 27
1 Greenshank, 77 Common Scoter, 22 Great-crested Grebe, 1 Peregrine and 2 Gannet - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Great White Egret, 2 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 2 Peregrine and 64 Redwing (in field by Old Baths) -  Parkgate Marsh.
2 Short-eared Owl - Burton Marsh.
40 White-fronted Geese - Burton Mere Wetlands, on the ground.

December 26
18 Purple Sandpiper on pontoon at high tide - New Brighton Marine Lake.
1 Greenshank, 1 Common Scoter very close in to shore - Leasowe Lighthouse.
2 Hen Harrier (ringtail) came in to roost, also 2 Short-eared Owl -  Parkgate Marsh.

December 24
240 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, 27 Snipe, 1 Water Rail, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 2 Peregrine - Heswall Shore, at high tide.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Water Rail (calling) and 100 Teal -
2 Raven (over flying towards Wales), 7 Redwing, 50+ Reed Bunting and 32 Pink-footed Geese - Neston Old Quay.
3 Gannet, 2 Red-throated Diver, 1 Common Scoter a couple feet off the tide line at high tide plus 30+ offshore, 1 Peregrine, 76 Bar-tailed Godwit, 130 Shelduck, 26 Great Black-backed Gull, 5,700 Herring Gull, 200 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 1,500 Oystercatcher - Hoylake Shore over high tide.
1,000 Dunlin flying around groyne, 1 Raven over Lingham Lane - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Short-eared Owl and female Hen Harrier at Decca pools, Burton Marsh.

December 22
370 Black-tailed Godwit, 83 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, at least 8,000 Knot and 1 Raven - Heswall/Thurstaston Shore, an additional 8,000 Knot were off Caldy.
1 Merlin almost hit the observer's car, also 1 Spotted Redshank - Connah's Quay Reserve.
1 Greenshank, 2 Little Gull (flew SW), 17 Common Scoter and 35 Meadow Pipit - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Peregrine, 2 Raven, 37 Twite and 1,500 Lapwing - Oakenholt Marsh.
2 Water Pipit (best seen by waiting for them to land in view, please do not try to flush them from the marsh), also 1 Merlin, 2 Hen Harrier (ringtail) and 30 Pink-footed Geese - Neston Old Quay.

December 21
315 Black-tailed Godwit - Heswall Shore.

1 Short-eared Owl hunting over the reedbed, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 3 White-fronted Geese and 20 Golden Plover - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Raven flew towards Flint - Parkgate Marsh.

December 19
6 White-fronted Geese and 1 Merlin - Burton Mere Wetlands, 30 Siskin in the trees around the meres.
1 Green Sandpiper, 50 Blackbird, 30 Fieldfare, 25 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush and 18 Stock Dove - Shotwick.

December 15:
400 Pink-footed Geese flew in from Shotwick Fields area and landed on marsh off Gayton.

1 Greenshank - Dove Point, Meols.
1 Great Skua, 3 Gannet and 35 Common Scoter - Leasowe Lighthouse this morning.
62 Golden Plover, 280 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, 650 Pintail, 1 drake Tufted Duck, 1 Peregrine, 1 ringtail Hen Harrier - Heswall Shore.

2 Spotted Redshank - Heswall Shore.

1 Little Auk past north end 1.30pm - Hilbre.

2 Common Crane on Heswall Marsh off Riverbank Road for at least 90 mins before flying east at 1030am, also 22 Pink-footed Geese over.
1 Great White Egret - Parkgate.
1 Snow Bunting - Red Rocks.

November 23:
1 Short-eared Owl, 80 Pink-footed Geese, 14 White-fronted Geese, 5 Whooper Swan, 1 Kingfisher and 1 Merlin - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Greenshank - Heswall Shore.
1,500 Black-tailed Godwit - Thurstaston Shore.
2 Short-eared Owl - Burton Marsh.

November 22:
4 White-fronted Geese, 1 Merlin (killed a Snipe) - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Snow Bunting - Thurstaston Shore.
2 Greenshank - Heswall Shore.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) which flushed 70 Teal from Donkey Stand Flash, also 1 Red-breasted Merganser and 40 Pink-footed Geese on edge of marsh - Parkgate.
5 Short-eared Owl, 2 Hen Harrier ( a 2nd W Male and an adult female), 2 Peregrine and a female Merlin between Denhall Lane and Neston Sewage Works.

November 21:
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Merlin (fem), 5 Whooper Swan and 2 Bewick's Swan - Burton Mere Wetlands.

1,150 Black-tailed Godwit and 110 Pintail - Thurstaston Shore.

November 20:
2 Water Rail in duck pond, 1 Greenshank by groyne and 1 Peregrine on the shore - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Wheatear on wall  by Wallasey Life-guard Station.
7 White-fronted Geese flew north over Caldy.
40 Redwing and 30 Skylark in field behind Old Baths car park - Parkgate, also 1 male Hen Harrier by flashes.
1 Merlin south of Neston Old Quay, also 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Neston Marsh.
1 Snow Bunting flew in from north then flew south - Hilbre.
1 Great White Egret came into roost, also 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Burton Mere Wetlands.
15 Short Eared Owl, 4 Hen Harrier (1 male), 2 Great White Egret and 1 Spoonbill - Burton Marsh.
1 Crossbill - Red Rocks.

November 19:
1 Black Redstart (male) on rocks at bottom of cliff - Caldy Shore, about 100 yards south of Caldy steps early afternoon then moved north of steps. 
1 Wheatear on wall  by Wallasey Life-guard Station.
2 Snow Bunting (300m south of Tinker's Dell) - Thurstaston Shore.
2 Raven over Saughall.
1 Little Grebe on Donkey Stand Flash, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Parkgate.
1 Little Auk - Hilbre, photographed before flying off, also 1 Short-eared Owl which flew towards West Kirby.

November 18:
1 Wheatear on wall  by Wallasey Life-guard Station, 1 Raven being mobbed by gulls over the 'dips'.
1 Richard's Pipit on horse paddock west of Leasowe Lighthouse, also 1 Short-eared Owl.
3 Short-eared Owl, 1 male Merlin, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Raven and 4 Stonechat - Burton Marsh.
1200 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Snow Bunting (300m south of Tinker's Dell) - Thurstaston Shore.

November 16:
13 White-fronted Geese - Burton Mere Wetlands.
32 Fieldfare and 1 Snow Bunting - Red Rocks.
1 Snow Bunting, 1 Greenshank, 107 Golden Plover, 76 Bar-tailed Godwit, 5,000 Knot and 1,060 Black-tailed Godwit (8 colour ringed) - Thurstaston Shore.

November 15:
1 Snow Bunting - Thurstaston Shore, on beach just south of Tinker's Dell at noon, also c600 Black-tailed Godwit, 190 Pintail and 5,000 Knot.
1 Greenshank - Heswall Shore off Target Road.
1 Short-eared Owl - Hilbre, there most of the day and went to Middle Eye after high tide, also 10 Purple Sandpiper.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) and 1+ White-fronted Goose - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Richard's Pipit and 1 Wheatear, 1 Brambling overhead and c1,000 Bar-tailed Godwit on tide edge - Leasowe Lighthouse.

November 14:
1 Glossy Ibis, 7 White-fronted Geese, 2 Hen Harrier (full ad male and ringtail) and 1 Peregrine - Burton Mere Wetlands.

November 13:

50+ Twite, c200 Linnet, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 Peregrine, 1 Spotted Redshank and 2 Greenshank -  Connah's Quay Reserve.
3,000 Black-tailed Godwit, at least 200 Bar-tailed Godwit and 3 dark-bellied Brent Geese - Point of Ayr at high tide.
1 Snow Bunting over Hilbre flew south.
1 Glossy Ibis, 4 White-fronted Geese and 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Woodcock flew into garden by Mill Lane, Heswall.

2 Goosander (red-heads, prob fem and imm) on Donkey Stand Flash with 3 Mute Swan - Parkgate, also 4 Hen Harrier (3 ringtail and 1 male) over marsh which flushed 850 Starling and 1 Great White Egret.
1 Hen Harrier (2nd winter male), 1 Goosander, 1 Merlin, 120 Pink-footed Geese and 4 Whooper Swan today, 1 Bittern seen flying over reedbed and into ditch late yesterday afternoon and 1 Great White Egret came into roost - Burton Mere Wetlands.
11,000 Oystercatcher, 550 Curlew, 6,000 Dunlin, 8,500 Knot and 5 Little Egret - West Kirby Shore at high tide.
12 Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Goldeneye - West Kirby Marine Lake.
