Large movement of Pink-footed Geese this morning with hundreds of birds moving both out of and in to the estuary from direction of South Lancs.
1 Brambling 1 Redwing, 150 Chaffinch, 40+ Jackdaw, 13 Mistle Thrush and 14 Siskin over, 5 Stonechat, 2-3 Chiffchaff and 4 Goldcrest on the ground - Red Rocks early morning.

Oct 17
3 Greenshank, 1 Spotted Redshank, 2 Marsh Harrier and 1 Hen Harrier (Harriers coming in to roost) - Parkgate.
10 Marsh Harrier came in to roost at Neston Reed Bed this evening.

Mixed flock of birds along nature trail included 15+ Long-tailed Tit, 2+ Chiffchaff and 6+ Goldcrest - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Hen Harrier, 4 Marsh Harrier, 1 Merlin, 5 Kestrel, 1 Short-eared Owl and 1 Great White Egret - Neston Old Quay/Harp Inn.

1 Pallid Harrier put on a superb display off Parkgate this afternoon, also at least 3 Marsh Harrier and 1 Hen Harrier.
10 Eider, 481 Cormorant flew out of estuary at dawn, 90 Ring Plover, 30 Linnet and 2 Rock Pipit - Hilbre.
6 Buzzard 'kettling' over Lower Heswall at lunch time, two were clasping talons and displaying.
2 Little Stint - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Wheatear on Caldy Golf Course.

60+ Skylark flew north over Lower Heswall as tide came in.

1 Sooty Shearwater - Wallasey Shore at 1135am, gave good views before flying straight out, also 3 Leach's Petrel, 4 Manx Shearwater, 12 Little Gull, 1 Great Northern Diver and 3 Red-throated Diver.
5 Leach's Petrel flying west plus 1 east, also 1 Pomarine Skua (ad) - Hoylake Shore.
