2 Red Kite flew across Mersey mouth to Wallasey (as seen from Seaforth NR).
1 Quail singing by rifle range - Burton Marsh.

4,000 Knot early morning - Leasowe Gunsite.
750 Shelduck, 6 redhead Goosander, 31 Little Egret, 1 Great Egret, 400 Oystercatcher, 76 Grey Plover, 2 Turnstone, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 390 Curlew, 7 Whimbrel, 184 Carrion Crow, 1 Wheatear on rising tide this morning - Heswall/Thurstaston.

180 Shelduck, 4 Goosander (1m, 3f), 6 Great Crested Grebe, 33 Little Egret, 500 Oystercatcher, 150 Curlew, 11 Whimbrel on rising tide - Heswall Shore.

1 Red Kite circling between Pensby Road and Poll Hill Road - Heswall.

1 Hobby sitting on post off Old Baths - Parkgate.
1 Osprey headed east over Telegraph Road - Heswall.

1 Garganey (drake) on main scrape - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Cuckoo heard near Dove Point - Meols.
1 Cuckoo, 6 Stonechat and 1 Yellow Wagtail early morning - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Osprey flew north - Hilbre.

1 Red Kite drifting north at 15.50hrs over Pensby.
1 Whinchat and 2 Wheatear - Red Rocks.
1 Arctic Skua sat on East Hoyle Bank, also 33 Sanderling and 1 drake Eider - Hoylake.

May 19
2 Puffin, 1 Guillemot. 3 Little Tern, 15 Common Tern, 20 Sandwich Tern, 5 Jackdaw, 7 Eider and 1 Common Whitethroat - Hilbre.
1 Short-eared Owl hunting inland of coastal paddocks this evening, also report of 1 Hooded Crow earlier - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 17
1 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Cuckoo calling, 1 Garganey drake and 38 Bar-tailed Godwit -Burton Mere Wetlands.
200 Knot and 3,000 Oystercatcher after high tide off Leasowe Gunsite.
1 Spotted Flycatcher, also 250 Sandwoch Tern on sandbank far side of channel from Leasowe Castle - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Cuckoo calling just inland of Heswall Shore.

May 16
1 Arctic Skua off Meols.
1 Osprey flew from Hilbre to Red Rocks then inland, also 1 Short-eared Owl (flew south at first light) and 1 Puffin flew west - Hilbre.
110 Shelduck, 210 Oystercatcher, 45 Grey Plover, 7 Ringed Plover, 20 Knot, 25 Dunlin, 6 Whimbrel, 115 Curlew over high tide - Thurstaston Shore.

Report of Iberian Chiffchaff in reeds near Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Yellow Wagtail and 1 Whinchat - Leasowe Lighthouse.
5 Great White Egret and 1 Hobby between Denhall and Nets Cafe - Burton Marsh.

2 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Common Redstart (fem), 3 Whinchat and 3 Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse.
250+ Sanderling on the beach, 2 reeling Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Whinchat - Gronant.

May 11
1 Black Kite reported - Holywell.
1 Red Kite over drifting east - Burton Mere Wetlands.
2 Whooper Swan over the marsh at 8am - Burton Marsh
1 Short-eared Owl flew towards Red Rocks this afternoon, also 7 Eider - Hilbre.

May 10
1 Hobby, 1 Grasshopper Warbler hear, 8 singing Sedge Warblers and 5 singing Cetti's Warber - Burton Marsh road/Burton Point.
2 drake Garganey - Burton Mere Wetlands.

May 9
1 Osprey flew north at 5.55pm, also 2 drake Garganey and 1 fem Scaup - Burton Mere Wetlands.
58 Whimbrel - Heswall Shore.
1 probable Montagu's Harrier (ringtail) flew north towards Formby Point - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 8
1 Short-eared Owl, 1 Whinchat, 1 Spotted Flycatcher and 2 Common Whitethroat - Hilbre.
1 drake Garganey 1 fem Scaup (Bridge Pool) - Burton Mere Wetlands.
62 Ringed Plover, 250 Dunlin, 16 Sanderling, 7,000 Knot, 7 Ruff (lekking on the shingle ridge), 70 Little Tern, 100 Sandwich Tern, 15 Little Egret, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Peregrine and 1 Marsh Harrier - Point of Ayr.

May 7
1 Short-eared Owl - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Wood Sandpiper - Burton Mere Wetlands.
94 Whimbrel at high tide - Heswall Shore.

May 6
1 Osprey with fish sat on tideline off Lifeboat Station 9.15am, 1 Arctic Skua flew west, 10,000 waders (mostly Dunlin) on shore before high tide - Hoylake.
The Osprey was seen a few minutes later flying south into the estuary being mobbed by a Shelduck.
2 Puffin, 18 Eider and 1 Black Guillemott off Hilbre.
1 Blue-headed Wagtail and 2 Whinchat - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 5
123 Red-throated Diver, 120 Gannet, 4 Manx Shearwater, 1 Arctic Skua, 2 Razorbill, 25 Guillemot, 150 Sandwich Tern, 1 Whinchat and 1 Yellow Wagtail, 420 Pink-footed Geese flew out of the estuary - Hilbre.
At least 19 Wheatear, 3 Whinchat and 1 Garden Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.
147 Whimbrel on rising tide, also 1 Common Sandpiper - Heswall Shore.

May 4
2 Mute Swans flew north, 1 Red-throated Diver, 110 Grey Plover, 1300 Knot, 600 Dunlin, 3 Common Sandpiper, 80 Curlew, 94 Whimbrel at high tide - Heswall Shore.
1 Short-eared Owl, 3 Swift, 1 Fieldfare, 1 female Common Redstart along hedge line south of 'Sheldrakes' - Heswall Marsh.
2 Arctic Skua, 3 Manx Shearwater and 42 Gannet early morning, also 20+ Whimbrel - Hilbre.
Several Cuckoos today with singles at Hoylake Langfields and Caldy Woods, and at least 2 in Leasowe Lighthouse area.
4 Whinchat - Leasowe Lighthouse.
3,000 Knot off Dove Point at 10am which flew west, also 2,000 Dunlin off Sandhey Slipway - Meols Shore.
80 Little Tern on shoreline - Point of Ayr.
1 Garganey (drake), 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Whinchat and 8 Spotted Redshank - Burton Mere Wetlands.

May 3
10+ Waxwing flew low over Church Road this morning - Saughall.
380 Oystercatcher, 60 Grey Plover, 6000 Knot, 2400 Dunlin, 1 Sanderling, 103 Bar-tailed Godwit, 96 Curlew, 39 Whimbrel this morning - Thurstaston Shore.
A second Iberian Chiffchaff (full song heard and recorded, has different leg colour to Kerr's Field bird) this morning by Park Lane - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 2
1 Curlew Sandpiper this morning - Meols Shore.
1 Black Redstart (female) west end of coastal paddocks at 0830, also 1 Iberian Chiffchaff still by Kerr's Field - Leasowe Lighthouse.
6,000 Knot flying over Dawpool Bank then flew inland towards Formby/Seaforth early morning, also 2,000 Dunlin and 74 Whimbrel - Thurstaston Shore.
1 Black Redstart (fem) by clown roundabout at 7pm - New Brighton.

May 1
1 Cuckoo north end of Stapledon Wood this morning - Caldy.
3 White Stork over Burton Mere Wetlands, also seen off Parkgate where they landed briefly before returning to Burton.
1 Garganey (drake), 1 Little Gull and 8 Spotted Redshank - Burton Mere Wetlands
9 Wheatear on road before flying inland! - Meols Parade.
1 probable Iberian Chiffchaff,  1 Gasshopper Warbler, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Common Redstart, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 7 Redpoll, 2 Tree Pipit, 3 Whinchat and 14 Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse.
67 Whimbrel between Caldy and Heswall.
