1 Collared Pratincole flew east over coastal paddocks at 08.10am, not yet relocated by 10am, also 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Tree Pipit - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Spoonbill - Parkgate.
1 Cetti's Warbler - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
49 Whimbrel, 123 Curlew, 108 Oystercatcher and 38 Little Egret, also 68 Carrion Crow on the sand flats presumably after crabs - Heswall/Thurstaston Shore.

200+ Little Tern  Gronant.

1 Short-eared Owl flew north - Red Rocks.
1 Wood Warbler, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Common Redstart (m&f), 4 Whinchat and 15 Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse.
A mirror like sea at high tide produced just 20 Commin Scoter, 10 Great Crested Grebe and 3 Gannet sitting on the sea - Hoylake.
1 Common Sandpiper and 1 male Eider - Hilbre.

1 Spotted Flycatcher, 14+ Whinchat, 1 Wood Warbler, 1 Common Redstart, 15 Wheatear, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Tree Pipit - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Spoonbill flying into estuary,  also 35+ Willow Warbler, 1 Whinchat, 80 Sanderling, 7+ Wheatear, 550 Dunlin and 3 Eider- Hilbre.
1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Stonechat and abundant Sedge Warblers - Burton Marsh.
50 Little Tern, 30 Sandwich Tern, 50 Whimbrel, 8 Bar-tailed Godwit, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 4 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat, 2 Swift and 1 Peregrine - Point of Ayr.

May 9
1 Hoopoe on municipal Golf Course (next to cycle track which runs between Hoylake Station and West Kirby, has also flown over the railway track to Drummond Road a couple of times this morning), also 1 Ring Ouzel (male) on golf course early morning - Hoylake.
1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Tree Pipit, 1 Little Ringed Plover and 21 Redpoll over, also 4 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, c20 Whinchat , 7 Wheatear, 2 White Wagtail and 2 Common Redstart - Leasowe Lighthouse.
3 Red-throated Diver east past Hoylake Shore.
1 Cuckoo and 1 Grey Wagtail, several Stonechats - Leasowe Gunsite.
1 Spoonbill, 5 Great Egret and 3 Greenshank, just 2 Pink-footed Geese left! - Parkgate.

3 Cattle Egret in field and 1 Wood Warbler at Puddington 'dip'.
Highlights include 1 Cuckoo, 1 Bittern and 1 Grasshopper Warbler - Burton Mere Wetlands.
15+ Sedge Warbler between Denhall Quay and Station Road, Burton.
1 Grasshopper Warbler and 2 Cetti's Warbler - Burton Point.

1 Arctic Tern (sat on mud with waders), 1 Kittiwake (over the main Dee channel), 23 common Tern, 27 Whimbrel, 230 Grey Plover, 3,500 Dunlin and 1,000 Knot - Heswall Shore.

4 Eider (2 pairs) and 1 Hobby flew east - Hilbre.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) this evening - Parkgate.
1,000+ Knot and 295 Grey Plover on rising tide - Hoylake.

1 Golden Plover, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Ring Ouzel, 1 Common Redstart (male) along Park Lane, 2 Whinchat, 3 Siskin over and 1 Common Sandpiper - Leasowe Lighthouse.
173 Whimbrel at high tide (a Dee Estuary record high), 2 Stonechat in bushes by cliff and 1 Whinchat on the marsh - Heswall Shore.
1 Whinchat, 2 Grasshopper Warbler and good passage of 100+ hirundines this morning - Red Rocks.
6 Wheatear and 8 White Wagtail in ploughed field south of Meols.
2 Common Redstart - Hilbre.
