50 Swift feeding over Hoylake Langfields.
1 Spotted Redshank and 2 Avocet - Inner Marsh Farm.
At least 300 Little Tern, 16 Common Scoter and 4 Manx Shearwater - Gronant as tide came in.
1 Cuckoo heard, 1 Merlin and 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 14 Grey Heron on the shore - Leasowe Lighthouse.

June 21:
1 Barn Owl showing well off Parkgate end of Heswall Golf Course this morning.
3 Manx Shearwater and 54 Gannet off Hoylake at high tide.
1 Woodcock over roundabout by Cottage Loaf pub, Thurstaston, this evening.
2 Spoonbill briefly at Inner Marsh Farm.

June 20:
1 Peregrine on sand bank off Leasowe Lighthouse, 1 Lesser Whitethroat by Lingham Lane.
1 Red Kite, 3 Common Buzzard and 1 Hobby 'thermalling' over Deeside Industrial Estate this  morning.
2 Common Sandpiper and 1 Rock Pipit - Hilbre.

June 19:
15 Little Tern and, 2 Gannet - Point of Ayr.

June 18:
2 Spoonbill, 1 Spotted Redshank (sum/pl) and 22 Black-tailed Godwit - Parkgate Marsh.
5 Common Buzzard (2 ad + 3 juv) over Shotton.
1 Ruddy Shelduck - Oakenholt Marsh.

June 17:
12 Gannet off shore including about 8 quite close in, c30 Common Tern, and 3 Common Scoter, 72 Great Black-backed Gull (mostly imm) on beach with small flock of Herring Gulls  - Hoylake Shore at high tide.

June 16:
1 Arctic Skua, 22 Gannet and c30 Common Tern - Hoylake Shore at high tide.
1 summer plumaged Spotted Redshank, 1 ad Mediterranean Gull and 1 Hobby - Inner Marsh Farm.
6 Bar-tailed Godwit and 8 Gannet - Point of Ayr.
1 Cuckoo calling by Caldy Golf Course this afternoon.

June 15:
27 Gannet - Red Rocks at high tide.
720 Herring Gull, 40 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 16 Great Black-backed Gull - Hoylake Shore, no build up of small gulls as yet.
7 Great Crested Grebe - Meols Shore.
1 Little Ringed Plover and 1 Greenshank - Inner Marsh Farm.

June 13:
67 Gannet, 38 Manx Shearwater and at least 150 Common Tern out to sea, about 20 Dunlin on the shore - Hoylake Shore at high tide.
6 Raven (family party) over, 1 Mediterranean Gull on the marsh and 153 Carrion Crow - Heswall Shore.

June 12:
1 reeling Grasshopper Warbler near Leasowe Lighthouse this morning.
1 Arctic Skua - Hilbre.

May 27:
1 Gannet landed in one of the horse paddocks and went to sleep!  - Leasowe Lighthouse, this morning.
95 Gannet, 20 Manx Shearwater and 1 Arctic Skua on the sea this morning, also 2 Eider (pair), the evening tide produced 7 Whimbrel, 650 Dunlin and 120 Ringed Plover on the tide edge and a further 35 Manx Shearwater - Hilbre.

May 26:
9 Common Whitethroat, 3 Blackcap, 3 Willow Warbler and 1 Kingfisher on the fishing lake on the Deeside Industrial Estate.
1 Spoonbill, flew off towards the estuary at lunchtime - Inner Marsh Farm.
At least 50 Gannet  - Hoylake Shore at 6pm, difficult to see in a NW gale with sand blowing everywhere!

May 25:
2 Spotted Flycatcher (Park Lane) and 1 Wheatear (horse paddocks) - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Curlew Sandpiper disturbed by a Peregrine, 4 Avocet, 1 Hobby and 450 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm.

May 24:
1 Cuckoo - Leasowe Lighthouse.
3,800 Dunlin and 320 Ringed Plover at high tide, only a few Gannets and no Manx Shearwaters seen - Hoylake Shore.
200 Gannet (early morning), 6 Manx Shearwater, and 1 Great Skua - Hilbre.
1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Barn Owl and 1 Short Eared Owl - Burton Marsh this evening.

May 23:
1 Cuckoo - Hilbre, early morning, 700 Gannet, 300 Manx Shearwater, 2 Arctic Skua and 2 Great Skua up to 4.30pm.
2 Avocet and 1 Hobby - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Great Skua, 100+ Gannet, 50+ Manx Shearwater, 12 Scoter, 6,800 Dunlin and 650 Ringed Plover - Hoylake Shore about 90 minutes after high tide.

May 22:
1 Cuckoo on fence by horse paddocks at 8.10am, flew towards Lingham Lane -  Leasowe Lighthouse.
35 Gannet and 1 Manx Shearwater - Hilbre this morning in strong winds.
At least 275 Gannet, 325 Manx Shearwater and 25 Fulmar, a possible Sooty Shearwater flying west in a near gale, 1 Curlew Sandpiper on the shore -Hoylake Shore.

May 21:
236 Black-tailed Godwit and 1 Water Rail - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Cuckoo heard - Arrowebrook, Greasby.
2 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Garden Warbler by the car park, 11 Grey Heron by groyne - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Spotted Flycatcher - Deeside Industrial Estate.

May 20:
1 Broad-billed Sandpiper and 1 Curlew Sandpiper over High tide at King's Gap - Hoylake Shore
2 Ring-necked Parakeet, 3 Wheatear, 1 Garden Warbler and 3 Reed Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 19:
1 Broad-billed Sandpiper and 1 Osprey eating a fish on the shore, als0 2,000 Dunlin and 1,000 ringed Plover - Hoylake Shore.

May 18:
1 Cuckoo Caldy Woods.
1 Broad-billed Sandpiper this morning, not seen after 10:15am and 1 Little Stint - Hoylake Shore.
2 Hobby, 3 Wheatear and 4 Reed Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 17:
1 Broad-billed Sandpiper, showing well at King's gap Hoylake Shore.

83 Gannet, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Wheatear, 1 White Wagtail and 1 Garden Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.
2 Peregrine on the tide line, 5,100 Dunlin and 220 Ringed Plover - Hoylake Shore just after high tide.

May 12:
4 Whimbrel and 1 Garden Warbler  - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Corn Bunting - Cuckoo Lane, Neston.

May 11:
1 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 2 Wheatear  - Leasowe Lighthouse, no sign of Red-rumped Swallow up to 9.30am, Spotted Flycatcher by bridge over River Birket.
1 Great White Egret - Inner Marsh Farm, flew towards Burton Marsh where it was later seen flying towards Point of Ayr.
c70 Kittiwake heading out of the River Mersey in one flock - New Brighton.

May 10:
1 Red-rumped Swallow, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Whimbrel, 4 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat (fem), 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 1 White Wagtail and 1 Garden Warbler  - Leasowe Lighthouse, Red-rumped Swallow over horse paddocks Meols side of Lighthouse this afternoon and present until dusk.

May 9:
120 House Martin feeding in the lee of trees - Target Road, Heswall.
26 Gannet, 52 Great Crested Grebe and c50 Common Tern - Meols Shore.
4 Wheatear, 2 Yellow Wagtail and 1 White Wagtail in horse paddocks, 1 Spotted Flycatcher by bridge over River Birket, Lingham Lane - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 8:
8 Wheatear, 2 White Wagtail, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and 3 Grasshopper Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.

May 7:
1 Marsh Harrier, 5 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Whinchat and 3 Wheatear - Hoylake Langfields early morning.
1 Wood Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Wheatear, 2 Whinchat, 6 Yellow Wagtail and 5 Tree Pipit - Red Rocks early morning, most birds passing through quickly.

May 4:
50+Common Tern - Hilbre.
1 Wood Sandpiper (seen first light but not since), 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Yellow Wagtail in nearby fields - Gilroy Nature Park.
32 Yellow Wagtail (incl one flock of 17), 1 White Wagtail, 26 Wheatear, 50 Swift, 6 Whinchat, 5 or 6 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 8 Whimbrel, 11 Gannet, 9 Sandwich Tern and 18 Common Tern - Leasowe Lighthouse.
