A small fall of Willow Warbler early morning with 10+ at Gilroy NP, 6 on Caldy Hill, 3 at Inner Marsh Farm and 1 at Hilbre which is first of the year for that site.

9 Chiffchaff and 1 Blackcap singing along the Wirral Way between West Kirby and Thurstaston this morning with two more Chiffchaff by Heswall Golf course.
1 Peregrine, 1 Water Rail, 1 Marsh Harrier , at least 6 Common  Buzzard, a pair of green woodpecker and 1 Willow Warbler - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) in view for about 2 hours, also 1 Water Rail and a few Swallows - Neston Reedbed.

April 1:
1 Little Gull flying out of Mersey, 1 White Wagtail on beach - New Brighton.

1 Shorelark on beach between Gronant and Point of Ayr, by Presthaven sands caravan park, park by go-kart track in caravan park and walk on board walk through sand dunes.
2 White Wagtail - West Kirby, by Concourse - first of spring.

3 Brambling and 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) -  Burton Marsh.
43 Bar-tailed Godwit as well as good numbers of Black-tailed Godwit six of which were colour ringed - Thurstaston Shore.

March 11:
14 Black-tailed Godwit, 22 Teal and 11 Pied Wagtail around the flooded field next to Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
20 Skylark on West Kirby Shore/Marsh with 3 Water Rail in nearby Red rocks Marsh.
2 Avocet, 1 Bittern flew over border pool - Inner Marsh Farm.
2 Mediterranean Gull - New Brighton Marine Lake.

March 10:
40,000 Knot observed flying out of the estuary heading north.
1 Wheatear - First of Spring! - four days earlier than last year - Leasowe Gunsite at 1030am.
1 Avocet and 2 Ruddy Shelduck - Inner Marsh Farm.
1 Snow Bunting on breakwater east of Dove Point, Meols.
1 Garganey (drake) - Burton Marsh.

1 Spoonbill briefly at 1230hrs, also 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Inner Marsh Farm.

March 3:
4 Avocet and 3 (2 drake) Garganey - Burton Marsh, Denhall Lane/ Decca Pools area, Garganeys present all afternoon, also 2 Hen Harrier.
2 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 2 Peregrine, 1 Merlin, 10 siskin, 2 Green Woodpecker, 7 Whooper Swan and 6 Bewick's Swan, 4 Avocet earlier - Inner Marsh Farm.
315 Great Crested Grebe off Leasowe Lighthouse at high tide.
1 Marsh Harrier and 1 Hen Harrier - observed from south end of  Parkgate Marsh.

March 2:
1 Spoonbill, 1 Marsh Harrier (fem, at one time it soared high up above the marsh), 2 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Short-eared Owl, 2 Peregrine, 2 Merlin, 2 Jack Snipe, 1 Water Rail, 2 (possible?) Water Pipit and several hundred birders - Parkgate Marsh over high tide which came right up to the wall.
