Foot and Mouth Outbreak - Dee Estuary and coast.

Latest 12/7/2001

Inner Marsh Farm (RSPB) will be opening at 9am on WEDNESDAY 18th JULY.
All visitors must check in at the visitor reception (show RSPB membership cards) and all must use the disinfectant foot bath provided.

Colin Wells (RSPB Dee Estuary manager) sent me the following message:
"I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the RSPB and our neighbouring farmers to thank all your readers for being so patient during these difficult times."

The Birds,Bats,Moths BBQ evening at Inner Marsh Farm on Saturday 21st July will be going ahead, ring 0151 336 7681 to book.

The Connah's Quay nature reserve (Powergen/Deeside Naturalists Society) is now open.
As usual it is only open to members of the Deeside Naturalists Society. Powergen request that members remain in their cars until they reach the hides and avoid unnecessary contact with animals.  Disinfectant has been positioned near the barrier for use on footwear and tyres both
before and after each visit.

As far as I know all other areas on and around the Dee Estuary are open as normal.
